Day 01 :
SPAIN - ASWAN

Departure by special flight to Luxor.

Arrival, assistance at the airport and transfer to the cruise ship. Boarding. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 02 :
ASWAN - KOM OMBO (Full board)

Visit to the Abu Simbel complex, an enclave consisting of two temples dedicated to Ramses II and his wife Nefertari, carved out of the rock in the 13th century BC. Visit to the High Dam, the most important dam in Egypt. Measuring 3,600 meters long and 980 meters wide, the Aswan High Dam is considered one of the most important mega-constructions designed in the 20th century with the aim of putting an end to the flooding that occurred in the lower Nile. Sail to Kom Ombo and upon arrival visit its Greco-Roman temple dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god in the southern half, and Haroeris in the northern half, a unique construction due to its noble design. Overnight on board.

Day 03 :
EDFU - ESNA - LUXOR (Full board)

Visit to the Temple of Edfu, a magnificent Greco-Roman temple dedicated to Horus, the falcon god, the second largest in Egypt and one of the best preserved. Cruise to Esna, passing through the lock, bound for Luxor. Night on board.

We end the day on board, sailing with a wonderful sunset.

Day 04 :
LUXOR - EL CAIRO

Visit to the Necropolis of Thebes: Valley of the Kings, where the tombs of most of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom are located, declared a World Heritage Site since 1979. The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the most monumental of those built in the valley and unique in Egypt, excavated on the steep limestone cliffs that rise above the desert in the Deir el-Bahari valley, is an extraordinary monument that dazzles visitors. Stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two gigantic statues of Amenhotep III that presided over his funerary temple on the west bank of the Nile in Luxor. Next, visit the Temples of Karnak. The Temple of Karnak is the largest temple in Egypt. This place was the most influential Egyptian religious center for centuries. The main temple was dedicated to the worship of the god Amun. Inside, you can enjoy the Hypostyle Hall with 134 columns, the Obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut, and the sacred lake. Continue to the Temple of Luxor, which is connected to the Temple of Karnak by an impressive avenue of ram-headed sphinxes, located in the heart of ancient Thebes. Luxor Temple is one of the most spectacular temples in Egypt and the most important monument in the city. Felucca ride. At the appointed time, departure by flight to Cairo. Transfer to the hotel. Day 05 :
EL CAIRO

Panoramic tour of the Giza Necropolis (Cheops: one of the seven wonders of the ancient world that remains intact, Khafre, and Menkaure), the Sphinx, and the Valley Temple of Khafre. It is the largest necropolis in Ancient Egypt, with burials dating back to the early dynasties. Visit to the Papyrus Institute. Visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum, with lunch. Dinner at a local restaurant. Accommodation.

Day 06 :
EL CAIRO

City tour: Museum of Antiquities, Citadel, Alabaster Mosque, Coptic Quarter, and Khan el-Khalili bazaars (with lunch). In the evening, pick-up for the Cairo night tour: we will start with a visit to the Monument to the Unknown Soldier. Its construction was ordered by President Anwar Sadat in 1974 in honor of the Egyptians who lost their lives in the October 1973 war. Next, we will stroll through the Khan el Khalili Grand Bazaar, where we will enjoy tea in a typical café. Dinner at a local restaurant. Next, we will take a sailboat ride on the Nile River, enjoying the wonderful views of Cairo illuminated by the bright lights of the city. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.

Day 07 :
EL CAIRO

Free time. Optional visit to the city of Alexandria, home to Pompey’s Pillar, the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, the Montazah Gardens, and the Library. Panoramic tour of King Farouk’s Palace, the Mursi Abu al Abbas Mosque, and a walk along the Keitbey Fortress corniche, with lunch. Accommodation.

EL CAIRO

At the scheduled time, transfer to depart on a special flight to Madrid. End of trip.
