Discover the desert in Morocco (express trip)

Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Kelaa Mgouna – Valle de los Rosas - Valle Del Dades

After breakfast, at 07:30 we will leave Marrakech southeast through the High Atlas Mountains. We will arrive at the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou or Fortified City, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1986. Then, we will cross the Valley of the Roses to enter the Dades Valley, where we will arrive at sunset and spend the night at the hotel.

Valle del Dades – Gargantas del Todra – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, we will continue along the banks of Boumalen, where a road marked by Kasbahs and ksour (fortresses or castles), whose landscape is ocher, red and mauve. After a journey full of a thousand Kasabah, oasis and palm trees we will arrive at Tineghir (where the spectacular Todra Gorges are located) perched at an altitude of 1,350 m and surrounded by a large palm grove. After enjoying these views we continue to Erfoud (city of fossils) and Dáteles that we have to cross to reach Merzouga, there where we will see around us some stony plateaus where dromedaries graze and we are already changing the green views with some gold color that accompanies us until we reach the dunes of Erg Chebbi. There the camels are waiting for us to enter the desert, while the sun sets, until we reach the tents camp in the middle of the desert of the dunes, where we spend the night in a tent. Dinner and drums and a tent under the desert stars.

Merzouga – Adgaz – Valle del Draa – Ouarzazate: Marrakech

Early in the morning, we will enjoy an incredible sunrise in the dunes of Merzouga, we will have breakfast and return to the road to head to Marrakech passing through the Daraa valley by the same route and the city of Ouarzazte and again we will pass through the High Atlas that will take us to Marrakech where we will spend the night at the hotel. Along the way we will make several stops to rest and stretch our legs.

**Important information: In the itinerary, there are sites that are passing through and others where we will make a stop to visit them. However, sometimes the visits are conditioned by the hours of sunshine or depend on the time of year, as they may or may not be open to the public.
